Reviews of cars we've test driven, rented, purchased, or leased.
I have always been of the mindset to purchase new cars and that leasing was throwing your money away. Car dealers have hefty down payments, lengthy leasing agreements, fees if you exceed the mileage allowance, and a fee to turn the car back in at the end of the leasing agreement. I once kept a Toyota Corolla and Ford Windstar for 13 years each.
In these later years I started leasing. My first lease was a 2014 Acura MDX for 39 months, and now I have a 2018 Cadillac XT5, (premium package, I only mention this because I will cover it in my review). As we get older, there is no need to “keep” cars for the life of a loan when you can try a new car every 2-3 years providing you budget for this.
